How do I explain myself???
Insatiably curious and reckless enough to get lost down many rabbit holes, I have done more things than I could summarize here. However, the past ten years I have focused on a few:
Coppersmithing. Electroforming. Leatherworking. Woodworking. Horticulture. Carpentry. Mycology Research and Cultivation. Spagyric Alchemy. Chemistry. Natural Building. Stubborn Self-reliance and Sustainability. Herbalism. Medicinal Brewing and Distillation…
…in the end, I am trying to bring more beauty upon the earth, in whatever way I can. This time in my life is merely a stepping stone into whatever is next. Perhaps that is why metal work is so appealing: as heirlooms, perhaps some of our creations could last many many years, passed down, and journeying through many peoples “stepping stones” in life?
I feel there can be something very powerful, beautiful, and timeless with jewelry. Whether offered to the “gods” or found in ancient tombs, there is almost a sense of immortality with some pieces, and metal jewelry always seems to survive longer then anything else when buried in the sands of time.
…either way, if I can leave the world a tiny bit more beautiful then it was when I arrived, I’ll feel I’ve done my part.
